The 13 Predictors of Business Success

The Growth Probability Matrix™ is based on two fundamental levers that can be used to improve your chances of success. Your position on the Matrix is determined by thirteen Growth Probability Indicators (GPIs): each GPI being an important predictor of business success.

There’s no shortage of useful models and tools available to business leaders.

When applied correctly, they can really help your business grow. Yet, I rarely see them being used effectively by business owners and their leadership teams. Instead, they’re stuck on a hamster wheel: Their working life is a never-ending, exhausting cycle of working ‘in the business’, interspersed with sporadic, half-hearted attempts to work ‘on the business’.

The Growth Probability Matrix™ draws a crucial distinction between the Growth Potential of your business and the ability of the leadership team to unlock this potential through Effective Execution. Both are key to building long-term shareholder value, but one is often (subconsciously) prioritised over the other.

It is easy to explain and remember, and so provides a simple framework for complex ‘on the business’ discussions in the board room. It acts like a filter that helps you cut through the overwhelming amount of business advice out there and establish the growth objectives that your leadership team needs to focus on now to improve its chances of long-term success.

It’s tuned to the level of ambition that you have for your business. This means that Matrix is not just for ‘Scale-ups’ or ‘Gazelles’. It's designed for any established business (or business unit) that has achieved a level of success and wants more.

The Matrix is much easier to recall than a long ‘To-Do’ list or a complex chart. If shared with your senior team, it helps you discuss and ultimately align behind a deliberately uncomplicated view of where your business stands today. Who else can see the results of each survey and our Leadership Alignment results?
Who else can see the results of my personal introspections and my senior team survey results?
No-one. The scores and comments are for your eyes only, unless you choose to share them. Quarterli® generates all results automatically without any human intervention.

The system also automatically generates the live Matrix from the aggregated result of all surveys done worldwide.
